How I got into high diving: I have been diving for fifteen years. I dove competitively, and in university. After university I didn't know what I wanted to do so I took a short show diving contract and loved it! I'm so happy I did, because through show diving I found high diving. After my second contract, I decided to make a living of high diving and performing.

Laura Dauffenbach - USA

How I got into high diving: A coach of mine suggested that I dive professionally

 

Other hobbies: Flyboarding, frisbee golf, bargain shopping, reading, gardening, yoga

 

Achievements: 1st place US Open High Diving Championships 2016, 6 times National Champion and 3 times All-American in USA Masters Diving, 1 meter Gold Medalist 2014 in Age Group, 2008 Minnesota Class A "Dedicated Service" and "Diving Coach of the Year" Awards.

Antonina Vyshyvanova - Ukraine

How I got into high diving: When I was younger, my father coached me in Olympic diving, besides he trained Artem Silchenko in high diving. He was my big idol and I often watched his training. When I was 13 years old, I started to dive higher than 10 m, step by step I went higher and higher.

 

Other hobbies: Learning languages, being interpreter/translator, drawing , fashion design

How I got into high diving: I dove springboards and platform in college at the University of Hawaii and I could never get high enough. My friends and I learned to high dive on the cliffs of beautiful Hawaii.

Andreas Hulliger - Switzerland

Age: 32 

 

High diving since: 10 years

 

How I got into high diving: A friend took me to the Swiss Cliff Diving Championship 2001 where I saw the guys jumping from 20 m. After this I started to learn the technique for high diving.

 

Other hobbies: Card games with friends, scuba diving, traveling around the world

 

Achievements: WHDF European Cliff Diving Champion 2012 and 2013, Red Bull wildcard, FINA World Cup 2014

Aidan Heslop - Great Britain

Age: 15 

 

High diving since: 3 years

 

How I got into high diving: I have been classic diving since the age of 8.  My Plymouth Diving team mate Owen Weymouth first got me interested in high diving and I went to watch the Red Bull Cliff Diving stop in Wales in 2013.

High diving since: 7 years

 

How I got into high diving: I started with freestyle diving, where I got in touch with some german cliff divers. They convinced me to go to my first competition in 2010.

 

Other hobbies: Trampoline, gymnastics, blobbing and my piano

 

Achievements: 3rd place at WHDF European Cliff Diving Championship in 2013. Two times champion at Punta Fuego Cliff Diving Challenge in the Philippines 2015 and 2016.

Nikita Fedotov - Russia

High diving since: 7 years

 

How I got into high diving: I was 16 years old when I started to work with Oleg Vyshyvanov in a high diving show in China. I started with the normal diving heights and after a few years and a lot of training I was ready to dive from over 20 meters.

Achievements: 6th place at the WHDF International Cliff Diving Championship 2016, 11th place at the FINA World Cup 2017 Abu Dhabi.

How I got into high diving: I was a professional springboard and platform diver (1 m-10 m) since I was 8 years old. I competed for the national team of Switzerland for many years. After I stopped Olympic diving, I started with the next bigger thing, high diving.

Achievements: 4th at Junior European Championship and participation at the Junior World Championship in springboard diving. 7th place at the WHDF International Cliff Diving Championship 2015.

How I got into high diving: I started diving when I was 7. After a long career in diving with competition around the globe, I decided to change to cliff diving. I love the free spirit of cliff diving, the mental challenge and the perfection!

How I got into high diving: After 3 years of gymnastics when I was 7 years old my grandfather took me to the diving section. I was not bad and soon I got into our city team. Many years later I began to work in a show in Beijing where was my first high dive.

How I got into high diving: I started with gymnastics and trampoline. When I was 14 years old, I jumped for the first time from the 10 m platform, then I fell in love with this awesome feeling and I needed to go higher.

How I got into high diving: After my career as an artistic gymnast, I was looking for a new challenge. A friend told me about cliff diving in Switzerland, I drove to watch and was infected.

How I got into high diving: In my young ages I was a springboard and platform diver in Austria, later I competed in Switzerland for many years in national and international master competitions. In 1992 I competed at the first WHDF cliff diving competition in Ponte Brolla.

 

Other hobbies: Diving, paragliding, motorbike, skiing 

 

Achievements: Austrian Champion 1967 in 10 m plattform, 1987 Swiss Champion 3 m and 10 m, 5 Times European Master Champion and 2 times World Master Vize Champion.
